Rollover Pet Ear Balm | Pain + Panic: 1000 mg CBD

At Botanica we created this topical for our own pets, and for all the cats and dogs who cannot or will not ingest our other pet products. 

Such a situation might occur during a moment of unexpected stress, like a public outing or a sudden thunderstorm. For those cats (pretty much all of them) who reject everything on principle, this balm becomes a decadent ear rub. 

The uniqueness of this product lies in its method of absorption, which is through the skin rather than the mouth and digestive system. The skin on the inside of the ear flap is particularly thin and allows the active ingredients to absorb transdermally.

How to use it

Rub a small amount gently on the inside of the ear flap. Many dogs and cats enjoy an ear rub, especially when combined with brushing or other relaxing activities. 

The correct amount depends on the size of your pet. The easiest answer to "how much" is to put a tiny amount on a tiny ear, a little more on a bigger ear, etc. Read on for a more detailed answer. 

Recommended serving

The "generally accepted" amount of CBD for animals is 1 - 5 mg per every 10 lbs of body weight. A cat or a Chihuahua weighing 10 lbs, for example, might consume between 1 and 5 mg of CBD, while a a Great Dane weighing 100 lbs might consume 100 to 500 mg. 

Like their humans, our pets are individuals with different needs, situations, metabolisms, and personalities. The unique transdermal application of this product requires some experimentation to find the right amount for your unique pet. We always suggest starting with the smallest amount, waiting 30 to 60 minutes to gauge the effects, and applying more as needed.
